Or the term "master", which we often use at work to refer to a hero version of something, originates from times of slavery and the ownership of peoples. Even the casual "long time no see" actually originates from mocking the language and speech of Chinese people and Native Americans.
Once we found out the troubling history of such terms, we never wanted to use them again.
